Leigh A Burch III
President and Owner

Terminus Real Estate Inc. is led by its owner and president, Leigh A, Burch III, who has worked as a developer and real estate professional for over 35 years. Prior to establishing Terminus in 1996, Mr. Burch developed, marketed, and managed numerous commercial and residential projects in Atlanta. In Atlanta, Leigh worked on the financing and construction in the Atlanta Marriot Marquis, the Marriot Marquis in Times Square (NYC), the Portman Hotel and the Hyatt Regency Expansion at Embarcadero Center both in San Francisco. He also worked extensively with development of the Marquis I and II (office) towers in Peachtree Center, the Merchandise and Apparel Marts, the mixed-use Shanghai Center, the redevelopment of the 70-story, Westin Peachtree Plaza and other Portman projects during most of the 1980’s. As head of Jamison Research’s real estate consulting division, he advised over forty of the largest pension funds, commercial banks, life insurance companies, real estate developers and brokerage firms within the United States.

Though these high-profile national projects provided Leigh with a strong background in the development and stabilization of real estate, Terminus focuses on the development of Knoxville specifically. As the projects are developed in Knoxville, Terminus leases, manages and sells them. This highly focused (urban) approach has yielded a successful financial track record for Terminus and its investors. In Knoxville, Terminus projects include the HUD financed, 100-unit Sterchi Lofts, the 152-Stockyard Lofts (UC), the 42-unit, Verandas in South Knoxville (KCDC); the 26 Unit, Commerce Lofts Condominiums, the 16-unit, Lerner Lofts Condominiums, the 12-unit mixed use, Sullivan Street Lofts, the 40,000 sqft., Walnut Office Building (disposition ’06), 106 S. Central, 115 and 117 S. Central Street and 143 S. Gay Street.

Leigh was born in Knoxville, TN and has a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree of Business Administration, both from the University of Tennessee. He has taught Real Estate Market Analysis and Real Estate Finance at Georgia Tech and Georgia State Universities in Atlanta, Georgia. His teaching experience also includes: Micro and Macro Economics at the University of Tennessee, Finance and Economics at Brenau College in Atlanta and Economics at Dekalb College.

Alexis King
Vice President of Financing

Originally from Delaware, Alexis King relocated to Sevierville, TN in 2012 after attending Drexel University in Philadelphia where she received her BS in Psychology, minor in English, and later her MS in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Upon moving to Tennessee, Alexis worked as a visual merchandising manager for J. Crew. After a year, she realized Sevierville just didn’t feel like home, and decided to make the move to nearby Knoxville. After moving into the Landings Riverfront Apartments, she quickly learned of a job opportunity to work in their office as a Leasing Agent. Shortly after starting her employment with The Landings, Alexis was promoted to Assistant Community Manager. Two years passed and realizing she had a niche for property management, along with a desire to gain more experience in the real estate industry, Alexis accepted a position with local Terminus Real Estate in 2016. As their Vice President, she handles a number of tasks dealing with just about everything including financing, accounting, development, resident relations and retention, HOA management, coordination with maintenance and other vendors, as well as anything else that comes up during day-to-day operations.

Lindsey Douthat
Vice President of Management

Lindsey Douthat was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. She attended the University of Tennessee where she graduated with a BS in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration. Throughout college, Lindsey spent the early part of her career working in hospitality management at Cherokee Country Club where she cultivated an unequivocal forte for unearthing greater capabilities in promotional marketing. She began as a dishwasher and quickly moved from position to position to grow into a full-time manager for the club. Upon graduation in May 2020, she accepted a position at Terminus Real Estate as the Leasing and Airbnb Manager. In September 2020, Lindsey began working as the Office Manager for Terminus. Although she enjoyed her time in the country club business, Lindsey likes diving headfirst into solving complex problems and uncovering new possibilities, so she began her search for a new challenging opportunity. Lindsey has been quick to pick up on the ins and outs of the industry and continues to accept the opportunity to take on more responsibility as it arrives. As their Office Manager, she handles a number of tasks dealing with tasks including preparation and completion of Terminus’ 152-unit project Stockyard Lofts, resident relations, and coordination with maintenance.

Joe Consumo
Realtor/Sales Agent

Joe Consumo grew up in a small town just outside of Knoxville in Seymour. He attended Liberty University and Old Dominion University in Virginia to study Business Management. After moving back to Tennessee, he accepted a general manager position for 2 local Auntie Anne's Pretzel stores at the East and West Town Malls. In 2003, Joe joined 21st Mortgage Corporation as a Financial Counselor and then over the next 10 years progressed to Team Leader, Dealer Advocate, Jr. Credit Manager, Credit Manager and then Marketing where he managed Dealership Accounts in CA, AZ, UT, and CO with credit lines up to $6,000,000. Joe always had a passion for food and in 2014 Joe decided to open up a small French restaurant downtown on Clinch Ave called Cafe Du Soleil which garnered an average 4.5 out of 5 stars on Yelp reviews. Sadly, after several years, high overhead and equipment failure forced the Cafe to have to shut down upon where Joe was advised to try his hand at Real Estate. Joe enjoyed assisting potential buyers during the home purchasing process. After winning production awards at Coldwell Banker and Exit Key Realty, he was invited to join the Terminus Real Estate team by their Owner/Broker Leigh Burch. Joe is excited about the potential the grow with Terminus as they manage more properties, build more complex's, and expand their scope of influence throughout the region. Joe’s expertise in Downtown Knoxville as well as urban lifestyle makes him a knowledgeable, well-versed agent to assist all parties looking to move to the heart of Knoxville. Aside from assisting prospects in finding a home Downtown, Joe also coordinates tasks involving the maintenance team, manages supply/inventory control, and is a lead in the Sterchi Lofts remodeling project.

Alana Keheley
Leasing and Airbnb Manager

Originally from Kingsport, TN, Alana Keheley found her way to Knoxville in 2011. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. While in school, she worked part-time as a bartender, and took on two internships: One with the Tennessee Athletic Department’s event-management office, and the other with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She also obtained her real estate license in 2016, developing a passion for remodeling and interior design. Alana joined the Terminus family in December of 2020 to help oversee the preparation, leasing, and completion of the soon-to-be Stockyard Lofts in Downtown Knoxville. When she isn’t working, Alana likes to travel, take photos, craft and create, and spend quality time with her family, friends, and dogs.
